2012-13 All Star Weekend: The Players We’d Love To See In The Dunk Contest
The All Star festivities are great to watch when they come around as they put players through unique competitions.
Sometimes fans will find something they have never seen from a player and it will send shock waves throughout the league.
This time around the NBA will be looking for at least 3 new players to possibly contest 2012 champion Jeremy Evans.
Kenneth Faried
The athletic big man from Denver ticks all the boxes to be a dunk contest contestant.
His size matched with his speed and agility is unmatched by most in the NBA, with at least the only exception being Blake Griffin.
If Paul George dunked over 7 ft 2 Roy Hibbert in 2012 just image what Faried might be able to do!
Gerald Green
He’s taken his dunking abilities all around the world and now he finds himself back in the NBA with the Indiana Pacers.
When he had consistent minutes in November Green was all over the best dunks of the night as he never disappointed when flying through the air.
Green’s got plenty of time to get creative while he’s sitting on the end of the rotation.
Javale McGee
What hasn’t he done this year in terms of highlights.
While starting to form some sort of consistency with his overall game his stupidity and jaw dropping highlights keep rolling in.
When he goes up with one hand it doesn’t matter who is standing in front of him it becomes game over.
Russell Westbrook
You’ve always got to have a Point Guard in the mix that has an exceptional leap for his size.
Westbrook fits that bill and doesn’t take dunking lightly through the regular season.
It’s not just when he rises for the dunk either, once he comes back to earth he is showing plenty of emotion, something that will earn him some votes come dunk time.
Who would you add to this list?

Blake Griffin – maybe a sympathy vote as his field shooting is terrible but he’s shown some potential
Gerald Green HAS to be there for sure, nice list.
I’d like to see Terrence Ross there too
