With training camp and the pre-season banter finally behind us, we can now focus our attention on the real stuff, the 2012-13 NBA regular season!

This week there will be 3 games on ESPN via Foxtel in Australia so lets have a look at what to expect from each game…

San Antonio Spurs @ New Orleans Hornets

Time & Date: Thursday November 1 @ New Orleans Arena

The tried and tested San Antonio Spurs will meet their revamped south-west division rival in the young New Orleans Hornets.

Austin Rivers and Anthony Davis will be making their NBA debuts against opponents Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, who they can both learn a lot from.

It may also be the season opener for Eric Gordon after he went through a full practice without limitations on Monday.

Watch for: Number 1 draft pick Anthony Davis on the big stage against the Spurs seasoned veterans.

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks

The Knicks will be looking to seek revenge on last years play-off demolishing from the Miami Heat.

It’s still early days without Jeremy Lin but can Jason Kidd and Raymond Felton fill the void for the Knicks?

Watch for: The Carmelo Anthony v LeBron James match up. There will be some guaranteed fireworks between these two going back and forth on each possession.

Los Angeles Clippers @ Los Angeles Lakers

Time & Date: Saturday November 3 @ The Staples Centre

After the Clippers came away with the win in pre-season action there’s no doubt a full strength Lakers squad will want to even the scores this time around.

A retooled starting 5 featuring Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard will provide this game with a little more fire than in recent history.

Watch for: The Clips out to prove that the 97-91 win in pre-season action was no fluke and that they deserve the title of the best in Los Angeles.
